Well, I think he should drop the charges under the condition that those girls leave them alone once and for all. I know I’m sounding like I’m raising the white flag here, but I just want this thing to be over so the band can move on to more positive stuff.

Still, I’m hoping he’ll do the manly thing at some point in time and come forward and say it was not the right thing to do, wishes it never happened, violence is not the answer etc. and make it clear to everyone exactly what he feels constitutes an invasion of his privacy. I think its very obvious by all the girls camping out at the studio and his apartment that there is a real gap in what the fans and the band see as acceptable behavior. Even on this site there’s arguments about what’s stalking and what’s not. He has such an opportunity here, please don’t squander it Tom.

Ich bin, I have never said that one should be denied the right to self-defense. However, sitting safe in one’s car does not constitute self-defense, being pissed off does not constitute self-defense. Scared, I wish. If Tom was scared he would’ve stayed in his car and none of this would have happened. I also believe that there are a ton of girls out there ready to take the places of these psychotic French girls, and Tom can’t, and shouldn’t be, out there whacking the heck out of them. By all accounts the German legal system needs to amp up its protection laws, and the public needs to be educated on exactly what is and what isn’t legal when it comes to following/stalking their favorite band.

I know we don’t see eye to eye on this issue but I think we are both mature enough to “agree to disagree”.
