I have this newspaper, 3 copies of it actually : )
And I can translate the basics for you.
“Pop-idols starts Language Boom.”- stupid headline, I know.
Jennifer Lopez sent Spanish to the top. Now, Tokio Hotel is about to do the same with German.

The trend might not be in Norway yet, but in USA, France and even Israel, even more people want to learn German because of the popular group from Magdeburg.
Some years ago, the tradition was the same for Spanish. Also in Norway, the Latin language got a high raise in little time.

THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE COUNTS
You don’t decide about just a language, but a whole package:
Culture, wine, sun, healthy nature, good wines, or whatever you want, she says. (Helene Uri)
The Tokio Hotel fans doesn’t really care about the fact that they have translated some of their songs, like the superhit “Durch Den Monsun”, to English, it’s the original language that counts !
- Because of the reactions from American fans, we have decided to play a few songs in German, even here. - Vocalist, Bill Kaulitz said on the bands Usa-tour approximately to the Internet newspaper, Fan Lexikon.
At the same time, German teachers all over France are reporting that their students are studying the bands lyrics. Günter Kipfmüller from the German cultural center Goethe Institute now wants to use the band in further- and after- education of teachers.
According to the news magazine, Der Spiegel, Tokio Hotel has even influenced with a better relationship between Israel and Germany.
The band ended up as the first German group that has ever been on the front page of the popular teen magazine, Rosch Echad.
In the “after-war” time, traditionally, German has not been associated with pop culture and merriment, even in Norway. Helene Uri, who moved to Germany herself last year, has the impression that Norwegians consider the language as harsh and abrupt.
- There are lots of marks from the war, especially through movies. Norwegians today doesn’t hear that much German, except some angry and horrible Germans in war movies where they, through the rest of the movie, speak English.

blahblahblah ..

- “at the same time I think bands like Tokio Hotel and Rammstein helps with how people view Germany. Also models like Heidi Klum and the image of the “artistic city” Berlin.”

I didn’t translate everything, some things are really off-topic :) Hope it helps !

They inspired me to learn German :] I wanted to learn new languages anyway, but maybe I’ll do German first now :] Tokio Hotel is great! In that translation ^^ it said that they influenced a better relationship between Israel and Germany! That’s amazing. Also, did it say that teachers were using the music and lyrics to help with learning? They are such an amazing band. With all that stuff and the music :] [: I love them! They’re my favorite.
